Hi all,
Last week was a blast! I know no one will object to that statement. Once again, by clinching that gold award in the 25th Pacific Basin Music Festival, we have repeated history. 10 years ago, we also clinched the gold award in the same festival, 10 years later, we have done the same thing. Being one of the four schools to have gotten a gold, we have made a name in the international arena, we have done the country proud, the school proud, the band proud, and lastly but most importantly, you have done yourself proud.
Of course, not everything is about results. Do treasure the experience you had in Hawaii, with your band mates or with other bands from other countries, because this experience will last you for a lifetime, and this is also most likely the only time you would get to experience this. There are huge takeaways from this trip, such as how to react to others’ compliments, how to take more responsibility, etc. Do incorporate this into your daily life.
And as the euphoria dies down, and the everyday school life resettles in, don’t forget what happened last week. We have left another legacy in the band’s history. Of course, there’s still more to expect in the coming weeks, though it won’t be that exciting as Hawaii. Do expect the 3rd NBC, outdoors, and other stuff. Jiayous! Let’s keep this fire going!
Congrats to Hciband!
