The exco would like to thank everyone for coming down on a Sunday just to play for this concert.

As of now, we have only 3 pracs left. 3 pracs to finalise everything before we go Hawaii. We have to make the best use of it.

1. Polish up Spring March (Remember what Mr Leng has gone through)
2. Polish up Shenandoah (Same as Spring March)
3. Work on your Machu Picchu – get back our last year SYF’s phrasing, expression, clarity and intonation. [1st Priority]

Hi guys,

Tomorrow’s reporting time is 12pm @ SALT main hall. We will need to move the percussion instruments first as we are the school that’s providing the instrument. We will be moving to SCH around 3+pm.

On another note, tomorrow will be the first public performance of our 3 competition pieces. It will be our debut, and so we have to take the limelight away from the rest of the performing bands. If we fail tomorrow, how will we take the limelight away from the rest of the bands in Hawaii? Look confident, look proud. You know how much work you have put into those 3 pieces. It will be the only time you get to play in front of an audience before Hawaii, make the best use of it.

The Hawaii packing list has been posted on EMB already, by Ms Choo, please take a look. I will be posting it here too for  convenience’s sake.

QM packing list will be released at a later date.

Just to stress, you have to get a lip balm, and it’s compulsory. Going to other countries with a different climate might affect lips in a bad way, so, bring a lip balm just in case.

Here is the list of parts that constitute to the concert attire, just in case you forgot:
1) Black long sleeved collared shirt (no stripes and no grey)
2) Black long pants (also no stripes or grey)
3) School tie
4)Black long socks (emphasis on the long)
5) Black leather shoes (no sport shoes)

To the Sec 2 juniors:
You should have received a form about the loan of blazers. Please fill in your particulars, leaving the loan period line blank. Sign yourself and let your parents sign too. Read the rules behind carefully.

Please pass the completed form to your SL on Monday. SLs pass the forms to me.

As for this Sunday’s band fiesta, please bring the attire to school. Come in your PE shirt and respective pants.

As of today, there’s only a mere 9 days left before we board the plane for Hawaii… That’s only 6 more band pracs left.

Frankly speaking, it’s quite heartening to hear that somehow, the pieces are looking good, both competition and outdoor pieces. I would like to thank everyone who stayed back so late today >< I know it’s asking a lot, but thanks so much. It’s but a mere 9 days, let’s choing this last 9 days. Jiayou guys
