COUNTDOWN TO NBC: 4 Days

Hey guys, it’s been two months since we started preparing for NBC. We have gone through lots of hardships, and probably lots of fun too. And I think it is time that we do some reflection: ARE WE READY? We might not be as prepared as we were for the past competitions due to the lack of time,  but have we actually made the most out of this limited period of time? As what I have said, it is that sense of belonging and that feeling that everyone is working hard towards the same goal that actually pushes the band to work even harder and achieve higher. It is this band spirit that actually makes long hours of band practices enjoyable. So in order to make this whole journey fun and at the same time achieving good results, we really need everyone to work together as a band. Not some sec 3s, not just the SLs, everyone. Right now, I don’t think we are ready yet. We have improved a lot and we are really starting to sound great, but we are not ready to perform yet. Good news is, it’s not the end of the world, yet. It’s up to you to decide whether you want to:
1) put in more than 100% of your effort to actually nail every note on the score in detail
2) continue to slack and panic on saturday morning.

If I were you, I would choose the former. So please, really make the best out of the next two days, practise whenever you possibly can to perfect the pieces, so that Mr Leng can really make the band sound great on Friday. And on saturday, I want to see that confident smiles on your faces from the bottom of your hearts when you walk onto the stage, knowing that we have done our best to fully prepare ourselves, and that the judges and the audience are going to be so impressed by the great music we are going to make as a band.

HCIBAND, let’s make this possible.
